What we featured last summer: Early Handmade Needlework From the Penns Valley Area reflecting the craftsmanship of homemade textiles, embroidery, quilting, crocheted lace and knitting. Our next exhibit is scheduled for May 2010.

Greta B. Rightner of the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences is this years recipient of the Aaronsburg Story, Inc. Scholarship in Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology Award.
Annual Membership Dinner/Meeting
The Penns Valley Area Historical Museum Annual membership dinner/meeting. It will be held at New Hope Lutheran Church, 119 Cobblestone Court, Spring Mills, PA on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 6:30 PM. There will be a Roast Pork Loin Dinner followed by a speaker, Sue Kellerman from the University Libraries at Penn State. The subject is Preserving Family Heirlooms. The cost of the dinner is $15.00. Purchase tickets before December 30, 2009. Tickets can be obtained from any board member or calling 814-349-8960. The public is welcome. Not only for museum membership.
